Will the Curt Echo Brake Controller Work With a Trailer Connector Mounted At a 45 Degree Angle
Question:
Hi, My 7 wire plug is mounted on my hitch at an angle using an adapter purchased here. That means if I use thisBluetooth Brake controller it will also be angle about 45 degress from the hitch and not pointed straight out the back of my vehicle. How would this affect its propertional sensitivity when braking? Thanks. I have no idea where to get into the cold sidei of my brake pedial to wire a conventional controller on this 2019 KIa Sorento V6 AWD..but I know I can fairly easily get 12V from the battery to the 7 wire to power this Bluetooth controller. Any info or advice would be appreciated!

The Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 will work perfectly fine at the 45 degree angle that your trailer connector is sitting at. In fact, these are commonly used with in-bed 7-ways which are pointed at 90 degrees from the direction of travel and there are no decrease in performance.
The Curt Echo is an excellent choice for your 2019 Kia Sorento and there won't be any permanent modifications to the vehicle so you won't need to have any warranty concerns. In order to reach the battery you can use part # 10-1-1 (per foot) and part # PK54540.
