Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Turn Signals Not Functioning
Question:
I have two plug ins for my trailer. One in the bed of my truck and one on the bumper. When I am plugged into the bed of my truck the Left turn signal doesnt work. When I am plugged into the bumper my Right turn signal doesnt work. What the heck? Where do I start?

Expert Reply:
Start by taking sandpaper to the pins on the trailer connectors you have on your truck. It sounds like you have dirt or corrosion on the pins of the connectors which is preventing the connection from being made like is needed.
