Is Trimming of Plastic Bumper Shroud Required for Hitch Installation on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
On my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee there is a plastic shroud below the bumper. I like the look of this #13075 receiver because I suspect much of it will be hidden behind the shroud. Does the shroud have to be cut or does the receiver tube hang below? If it has to be cut, is there a trim that hides the cut? Do you have any pictures of this installation? Thanks.

When installing the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # C13182, on your 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the plastic shroud will not need to be trimmed.
At this time we have not had the opportunity to install a Curt hitch on the 2011 Grand Cherokee, so I called my contact at Curt Mfg. and they do not have a photo of this hitch installed on a Grand Cherokee either.
I was able to obtain a drawing that shows the location of the hitch in relation to the rear fascia on the Grand Cherokee though, see link.
To complete your towing setup, we recommend the T-One Wiring Harness, # 118425, and the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit, # 989900
