Trailer Brake Controller Troubleshooting that Won't Connect to Trailer

Question:

I have a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE, that I have installed a Tekonsha Voyager brake controller in. When I initially installed the controller it worked perfectly. I was on a trip and it stopped working. It does not register that the Trailer is connected, however all lights work on the trailer. I have rewired the controller to ensure all the connections are good, and I have 12 VDC input on output from the controller. I can here the internal relay click over when the manual brake lever is actuated. I have checked all fuses associated with the brake controller, and ensured the connectors are free of corrosion. I tried swapping out the brake controller just to be sure it did not fail, and also verified the trailer is good on another vehicle. I have been chasing this issue for a while now, and could use some help.

Based on what you are experiencing and what you've checked so far the issue has to be on the trailer's wiring for the output circuit between the connector and the brake assemblies. Best option will be to follow the wiring from the connector back to each of the brake assemblies looking for any obvious things that would kill the circuits like cut or exposed wire and fix as needed. Also make sure the grounds of the magnets are connected properly as well.

I attached a help article on brake controller troubleshooting for you to check out as well.
