2017 Thor Class B Gemini On Ford Transit 350HD Chassis Anti-Sway Bar and Suspension Enhancement

Question:

Ok We have a Thor RV class B plus that rides on Ford Transit 350HD dual rear wheel chassis. There are literally thousands of these now out on the road and the factory suspension is not adequate! Is there an airbag system out there that will work? Need to soften ride and decrease sway much as possible like air bags do on our big coach.

I do have an option for you but there are not air springs available for the 2017 Thor Class B Gemini on the Ford Transit Chassis. I recommend to use a Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar part # RM-1209-120 to minimize sway. The sway bar attaches to the rear axle and chassis to brace the frame as it shifts to minimize the side-to-side movement you are experiencing.

To soften the ride, I recommend SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-121-40 for the rear axle. The SumoSprings are designed with Progressive load control which basically means the springs compress according to the weight of your cargo. For lighter loads the spring compress easily for a soft engagement and less bumpy ride. They are also designed to help with sway and body roll.

I was also able to find the gross combined vehicle weight rating for the Thor Gemini and it is 13,500 lbs on the Ford Transit Chassis, so you want to make sure you are not exceeding that weight in cargo, passengers, and tongue weight of the car hauler you are towing with the Jeep on it. If you are exceeding the GCWR you could experience a lot of sway.
