For your 2016 Keystone Cougar X-Lite 26RBI Trailer I strongly recommend the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66074 because of its superior sway control that not only quickly stops sway but also works to prevent any side-to-side movement before it even begins.
Based on my research your Cougar X-Lite has a GVWR of 7,800 pounds, which represents the most it can weigh when fully loaded. Since a trailer's tongue weight should be 10 to 15 percent of its total weight, we can estimate a loaded tongue weight on the trailer of around 780 to 1,170 pounds.
When picking out a weight distribution system it is important to choose one with an operating range that closely matches your total tongue weight. Your total tongue weight includes both the loaded tongue weight of the trailer along with any added cargo weight coming from behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
The Reese Strait-Line # RP66084 features a tongue weight capacity of 600 to 1,200 pounds, making it the perfect choice for your setup. The only thing you will need to add is a compatible hitch ball like the 2 inch # A-90 or the 2-5/16 inch # 19286.
I have attached a great video demonstration on this system that you can check out as well.
