Fifth Wheel Rail Kit and Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-150

Hey there, I have a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT supercab and am looking to add order fifth wheel hitch and firestone ride rite airbags. I like the recon 5th wheel due to its lightweight 2 piece design for easy install and removal. DM8550043 And firestone ride rite rear airbags for 4x4 F2582. I was wondering what above bed rails I would need to make these two systems compatible together or if there is any compatibility issues in this setup I should be concerned about.

I have a great solution for both of your questions. So the Demco Recon part # DM8550043 is a great fifth wheel hitch for the reasons you mentioned. It's lightweight and easy to install/remove plus it holds the king pin very tightly for a smooth ride. So you need a rail kit to install this in the bed of your 2017 Ford F-150. The best option is a custom install kit as it will minimize drilling and install time. So for that best option is the Reese Custom install kit part # RP50087-58 which is a confirmed fit and also provides the rail style the Demco needs. I attached an install video as well.

Now for suspension enhancement you'll have to go a different route as the Firestone kit for your vehicle does not fit with in-bed hitches...but the Air Lift part # AL57385 does so it will fit and work really great. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.

For a compressor kit then the heavy duty part # F2097 will work great to make inflating the bags and maintaining them easier. The compressor will inflate faster than standard compressors and the gauge inside the vehicle will allow you to monitor and inflate them from inside the vehicle.
