Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Trailer Adapter Options for a 2013 Chevy Pickup

Question:

What size is the diameter of the shank that goes into the gooseneck? I have a gooseneck in my 2013 Chev I’m looking for a gooseneck to fifth wheel adapter rails and I purchased a Curt adapter previously but the shank size was 2 3/4 and was too big for my 2 9/16 hole.

The Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches # DM6140 will only work for you if you have a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch installed on your 2013 Chevy. It has a square shank that is unique to this style of gooseneck hitch. If you can let me know what gooseneck hitch you have on your pickup I can see if we have an adapter that gives you standard base rails. Otherwise we do have alternative options that you can use.

Some of the more popular options are the Convert-A-Ball # CAB-C5G which attaches to your ping pin and then secures on the gooseneck hitch ball or the Demco Recon # DM8550045 which secures to the hitch ball and provides a great 5th wheel head unit to secure to your pin box. If you happen to have a short bed then you'd be better off using an adapter like part # CAB-C5GX1216 which has a 7-1/2" offset to help give you more cab to trailer clearance.

I have attached some review videos for you to check out.
