I have a gooseneck and looking to use fifth wheel adapter to pull a 32 foot camper. I was told my setup would not support the BandW conversation

There are definitely adapters that will allow you to tow a fifth wheel trailer with your gooseneck hitch, but the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500 requires the Turnoverball gooseneck hitch, which it mounts to. You could install that and use the Companion but the Turnoverball is specific to year, make, model (and sometimes bed length) of truck.

For a fifth wheel trailer to gooseneck hitch adapter I recommend the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G or # CAB-C5GX1216 which gives you a 7-1/2" offset.

These adapters bolt onto trailer's king pin and allow you to connect the gooseneck hitch ball. They do require you measure from the top of the ball in the truck bed to the base of the pin box on the trailer, and for that measurement to be between 12" and 16".

I have added links to video reviews of both adapters for you to check out.
