Using An Extended Length Ball Mount for Towing with a Bike Rack

Can an extended ball mount be used to add space to attach a bike rack between the tow vehicle and trailer?

Yes, you can use an extended ball mount like part # BM20 to give more space for a bike rack to be used such as the Swagman Traveler XCS part # S64664 or the Curt Clamp-On 3 Bike Rack part # C18013. I have attached a list of the extended length ball mounts that we offer below. If you already have a bike rack then you can use the MaxxTow Ball Mount part # MT70066.

However, the drop that you require to tow level must be 2-1/4" or close in order to use this ball mount. If your drop is 2-1/4" or close then this is the option I would go with but otherwise the extended ball mount and towing bike rack would be the way to go.
