Trailer Hitch that Fits 2002 Toyota Tundra with Towable Bumper

Question:

Would the universal brake kit hook into the spare plug at the end of my bed on the drivers side. I will need a brake kit also for my 2002 Toyota Tundra SR5 extended cab with a 4.7 V8. Could you give the part number I need for this also.

The Curt hitch part # 13184 is the correct hitch for your 2002 Toyota Tundra that has the towable bumper. This hitch has a towing capacity of 5,000 lb. I attached an install video for it for you to check out as well.

You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118378. From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is one of our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.

Are you wanting to install the 7-way in your truck's bed? If so that is possible with the 7-way of the # ETBC7. The P2 I mentioned in previous answer would be the brake controller you'd need.
