Trailer Brake Controller for 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with Factory 4-Pole
Question:
I have a 2017 Jeep Unlimited Recon. Already has a factory tow package with four way plug. Going to tow a camper with electric brake. Needing to get the best combination of controler, wiring, and seven way plug to install. Quality is of first concern for the set up. Thanks

We can help you select a trailer brake controller and the 7-way wiring setup needed to enable towing your camper. A great place to start is the linked video in which one of our technical team reviews some of the more popular controller options including the well-proven Prodigy P3 # 90195.
The P3 offers the advantages of a large clear display, brake power settings you can store and call up on demand and an outstanding record of reliability. The P3 will install using kit # ETBC7 as shown in the linked video. The P3 will mount on your dash.
If you prefer a controller that does not have to be inside the passenger compartment then check out the latest technology from Curt, their Echo Controller # C51180 which installs in the 7-way and operates via a smartphone app. The Echo will install in your Jeep using a different install kit # ETBC7L. The advantages of the Echo are that it is literally a plug-in installation at the 7-way and requires no wiring inside the vehicle; it will never be in your way inside the Jeep; it can be transferred to any other vehicle that has a 7-way and it can simply be unplugged and stored away safely when you;re not towing.
