Will B&W Companion for 2018 Ram 3500 Prep Package Fit Over Gooseneck Ball

Is it possible to set the BWRVK3600 down over a fixed gooseneck ball, or do I need to go the route of a removable ball? I really like the lock-down corners into the factory pucks of this hitch better than just relying on the hitch adapter BWRVK3500. Your thoughts on this? Thanks! 2018 Ram 3500 DRW 8 foot bed fifth wheel package

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3600 will fit directly in your 2018 Ram 3500's puck system but the gooseneck ball does need to be removed for it to fit.

That will not be an issue though because it is extremely easy to remove the gooseneck ball and in doing so you will be able to use what is widely considered to be the best fifth wheel hitch on the market.

The ball that fits your '18 Ram 3500's prep package is the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ram Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNXA2062 and to insert and remove this ball, there is a simple lever attached to the handle as you can see in the accompanying photo. Just hold that lever and pull the handle to both lock the gooseneck ball in or remove it from your truck and that's all there is to it.
