Will the Blue Ox Patriot Radio Portable Braking System Work On a 1997 Jeep TJ
Question:
will this work/fit/install in my 1997 Jeep TJ, SE. 4 cyl, manual shift. Any specific mods, adjustments, or other requirements? What frequency does the remote operate on? I have two wireless back-up cameras that operate at the 2.x ghz. would these interfere with the RF remote?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System part # BLU37TR will work just fine on your 1997 Jeep TJ . There shouldn't be any modifications that need to be made but I do recommend using the Seat Stiffener for Blue Ox Patriot Braking Systems part # BRK2503. I spoke with Blue Ox to confirm this.
In regards to frequency, the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System operates on a 2.4 GHZ frequency. If this is the same frequency as your backup cameras then you might want to use the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System part # RM-9400 with the RoadMaster BrakeMaster Custom Seat Adapter part # RM-88154 instead as the frequency can be changed with this unit.
