Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2018 Ford F-150 And Reese Revolution Pin Box

Question:

I have a 2016 Rockwood Signature fifth wheel 8280 with a Reese Revolution VHD 10K22SW. I pull it with a Ford F-150. I there a fifth wheel hitch I can use to help me improve my ride. Everything I have is rigid to the truck and very noisy and uncomfortable. My fifth wheel hitch is a Husky 16K.

For your 2018 Ford F-150 I strongly recommend the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115 which will greatly reduce the amount of noise and movement you are experiencing and improve the comfort of your ride when you are towing your 2016 Rockwood Signature fifth wheel that has a Reese Revolution pin box.

This hitch, which fits in standard base rails, such as the recommended Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP50087-58, also has a handy indicator system which tells you if the jaws on the hitch are ready to couple, uncouple or tow. This color-coded system makes the process of hooking up or disconnecting your trailer much simpler than with other hitches.

Since you have a Reese Revolution pin box (the OEM version of a Sidewinder) you will need the Sidewinder Wedge for Curt E Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # C16991 which will prevent the king pin from rotating in the hitch, giving you a perfect fit.
