Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Camaro SS Transformers Edition

Question:

- Does anything on the Camaro Transformer Edition preclude me from adding a hitch? - Do you carry any hitches for the 2012 Camaro that are considered hidden hitches? - Is this something I can install myself? - If I can install myself, how does it bolt on/connect to the frame? - Does adding a hitch void any part of the dealer warranty?

I spoke with my contacts at Draw-Tite, Hidden hitch, and Curt. They all indicated that the available hitches for the 2012 Chevy Camaro should fit the Transformers edition as long as it does not have a dealer-added ground effects package.

On any of the hitches, only the receiver will be visible beneath the car. The cross tubing and mounting brackets will not be visible. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the Hidden Hitch that you have referenced.

Installation is not difficult for this hitch. With all of the correct tools and a extra set of hands, installation is estimated to take approximately 30 minutes or longer to install. The hitch bolts to the body structure of the vehicle. The instructions do cover the mounting points in great details.

Adding a hitch will not void the vehicle warranty. Consumers are protected by the Magnussen-Moss Warranty Act that states in part that unless the item installed caused a failure on the vehicle the warranty must be honored.
