Roof Rack Recommendation for Carrying Kayak on 2018 Ford F-150 with Cap

Question:

I have a 2018 f150 super crew with a5.5 ft bed and a century bed cap. I am interested in the dock glide kayak system. My cap has rails. Is there a way to put one roof rack bar on the truck cab and the other on the cap? I see systems for the cab and systems for the cap. I want to carry 2 kayaks and pull my travel trailer.

There would most likely be a way to piece together a single crossbar for the roof of your truck and one for the cap but it most likely won't work out like you would like it to. The bar heights would be at different heights which means the kayaks might be held at a less than ideal angle and since you want to use a dock glide system that loads from the rear it would be really hard to get the kayak onto the back load bar.

Best option is crossbars for the cap like the Thule TracRac CapRac part # TH29200XT which you could then install the # RR581 into and you'd be set with a really great way to carry you kayaks with your vehicle.
