Question:
I have the unit installed and going through the leveling the sensor procedure. Step 1 connect trailer green light is on. Step 2 set power knob to max-check step 3 depress brake pedal and hold-checkBUT the green light goes out when we depress the pedal, so step 4 and 5 are moot since I have no light. Solution ??

The issue you described with the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510 when setting up the leveling sensor sounds like the stop light switch connection is not correct. The stop light switch connection is from the red wire on the back of the brake controller to the cold side of the brake pedal or the wire that only has power while the pedal is depressed. In order to find this wire you will need to obtain a circuit tester or multi-meter if you don't already have one. If you are using a factory plug-in port on the vehicle then most likely you have a blown stop light switch fuse so you will need to check your vehicle's owner's manual in order to locate this.
Please let me know if you still have issues after checking the stop light switch wire.
