Why Is There a Speed Restriction For Flat-Towing a 2014 Ford Edge
Question:
why is speed restricted to 65 mph and 6 hours at a time?
asked by: Mike G
Helpful Expert Reply:
The speed restrictions from flat-towing a vehicle are given by the manufacturer for one reason or another and they do not provide us with a list of these reasons. That said, generally it has to do with lubricating the transmission properly and the inability to keep up with this at high speeds or long distances.
