Can I Use CAB-C5GX1216 With 2019 Ram 3500 OEM Gooseneck Setup
Question:
I am purchasing a 2019 Ram 3500 6.4 bed length with OEM 5th/gooseneck kit installed. Is this ok to use as it states not recommended in the info. I am also planning on Curt C60618 as well. Look forward to your responce Thanks, Larry

You are correct, The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 is not recommended for use with factory-installed towing prep packages from Ford, GM, Dodge, or Nissan because the goose neck hitch ball has a plastic latch that is damaged by the Convert-A-Ball. However, if you use the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loops kit part # C60618 in the 2019 Ram 3500 6-1/2 ft bed the Convert-A-Ball adapter will not damage the ball because it has a metal latch. The Convert-A-Ball adapter has a 12-16 inch height adjustment and has an offset of 7-1/2 inches.
