I do have a great option for you, however the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch # C11497 that you referenced will not fit your 2008 Subaru Forester. This particular hitch is designed for certain model years of the Subaru Impreza and Outback Wagon and it will not line up correctly to the frame rails of your Forester.

For your Forester I instead recommend the Curt Class II Receiver Hitch # C12038, which will match existing holes in the frame of the vehicle for a no-drill installation, features a 3,500 pound towing weight capacity and a 350 pound tongue weight limit, and is made right here in the USA.
