Can Cargo Carrier # e98874 Clear Rear Spare of 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Folded Up

Question:

We have a Wrangler with a 2 inch hitch my husband installed. Just confirming that this cargo carrier will be able to be folded up when not in use. Will I be able to open the back door if there is nothing in the basket and the basket is lowered? or will the carrier need removed in order to access the back? do I need any extensions or any type? I already own a hitch lock. I assume I can use it on this too? any info you can share is greatly appreciated.

I believe the etrailer cargo carrier part # e98874 will fit on your Wrangler with it folded up and able to clear the rear spare.

To be absolutely certain this will fit and clear in your application too you'll need to take one measurement. Measure from the center of the hitch pin on the vehicle out to the furthest point out on the rear spare. If that's less than 9-1/2 inches this will clear folded up. Either way it will clear folded down.
