Does Center Bore of Trailer Wheel Matter When Picking Out Replacement
Question:
looking for spare wheel for old livestock trailer. How important is center bore?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The pilot diameter of a wheel is only crucial for if the wheel is hub-centric (meaning it centers to the hub using the pilot hole of the wheel), and not lug centric (means the lugs are what centers the wheel).
The # AM20504 has a pilot diameter of 2.62 inches. Most likely you have lug centric wheels and this would be just fine. The easy way to tell is to check out how the wheel attaches to the hub. If it is a wheel bolt it is hub centric, or if it is a lug nut it is lug centric.
If you do have hub centric wheels though email me back and I'll see what best option would be.
