Recommended Wheel/Tire for a Four Taylor Cart
Question:
Hello I have four taylor dunn carts in my operations. Two are older models back from the 1990s and two are newer models early 2000s. I purchased 4 tires with wheels model AM30140 and they fit perfectly on the older models. The older carts dont have calipers/brakes on the front and thus the rims fit perfectly. Where I encountered the issue is with the newer cart models since they have brakes and calipers on the front. We tested the AM30140 wheels and tires in the front, but we found the caliper rubs/scrape on the wheel inside of the wheel/rim of AM30140. When we compared the AM30140 to the existing front rims on the new carts, It seems the design of the current/existing front rim/wheel is different on the inside from the AM30140. Any chance you guys probably can recommend a wheel/rim that will allow me to use on the new cart models?

The best option I have for you would be to return the Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel part # AM30140 and then mount the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire part # AM10012 on the wheels you know will work with your cart. The wheel/tire combos we have in the size you need all use the same wheel so we would not have a different wheel/tire combo the same size that would work in its place.
The other option I have for you would be to go up to a 10" diameter wheel as this should then give you the clearance you need for your brakes. The closest size we have to what you have now for this is the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10" White Wheel part # AM3H350.
