Can Advent Air Electric Heat Strip ACMHD Be Added to AC Unit with Heat Pump

Can you install a heat strip in this unit along with the heat pump?

Advent Air Electric Heat Strip # ACMHD is intended for Advent Air RV air conditioners that do not have a heat pump. For an item like the Atwood Air Command AC with Heat Pump AT15026-21 a heat strip is not really applicable according to my contacts at both Advent Air and Dometic/Atwood.
