Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 VW Eos

Will this hopkins wiring kit work on a 2015 VW Eos?

Your 2015 VW Eos features a multiplexed wiring system with combined circuits which means a powered converter is needed to both safeguard the vehicle's delicate wiring (the factory tail light circuits on your Eos can't handle the additional amperage of trailer lights) and properly read the voltage. Since the Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit # HM48895 you referenced does not have a powered converter so it won't work for your vehicle.

I instead recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This universal kit includes the needed powered converter that will get connected directly to the battery to provide power for the trailer lights along with all the necessary wiring and connectors. A circuit tester is also included to help with installation.
