Hopkins Trailer Brake Controller Wiring Harness for a 2012 Dodge Ram

For a 2012 Dodge Ram with either a factory 7-Way or factory 4-Way and a Hopkins brake controller, the correct wiring adapter is # 3021-S. This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on the trucks built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.

The other end has blunt cut wires that will attach color for color to the Hopkins brake controller.

If your 2012 Dodge Ram does not have any type of trailer connector you will first need to add a 4-Way, # 119178KIT, and then install a 4 and 7 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. The ETBC7 will provide the wiring you will need to hardwire in a brake controller.
