Are Load Resistors Required When Installing Optronics LED Lights on Trailer

Most likely you will not need to add any load resistors when installing the Optronics ONE LED Combination Trailer Tail Light # STL0016RB on your trailer. This should be a simple swap to replace your existing incandescent assemblies with this longer-lasting and brighter LED unit.

While most trailers can have their lights switched out for LED alternatives without missing a beat, there are cases where load resistors like # DI34ZR are needed but it's not something that can be accurately predicted beforehand. If you install the new lights and notice hyper-flashing on the assembly with the turn signals then it won't be too much trouble to add the resistors at that point to resolve the issue.

I just recommend waiting to see if they are needed before purchasing any load resistors.
