Troubleshooting Right/Stop Turn Circuit of Moms 1999 Chevy Tahoe Trailer Wiring

Question:

My mom’s Tahoe 7 pin has a dead port so she has no right brake light but ALL the other lights work. We have tested the female side of the plug, the wires going into the plug, and the fuses. After testing the fuses she has one that isn’t blown it just isn’t getting power to it. Anybody know what to check now? My thought is maybe there’s a wire pinched in the steering column as it’s been worked on awhile ago for the horn not working.

I'd be willing to bet the issue is related to the steering column being worked on recently, does the Tahoe's turn signals all work on the vehicle? You might just want to bypass all of the trailer wiring with a new kit like the # 119250KIT which will run to the taillight circuits of your vehicle, and you could then run to the dead circuit of the 7-way as needed.
