Trailer Tire Replacement Recommendation for MTI Boat Trailer with Tire Size P195/70R13

Question:

I have purchased a used MTI boat trailer with a 16foot runabout and 75 hp Mercury. The boat and engine weigh about 1275 pounds. The two current tires on the trailer are P195/70R13. I want to replace these two tires and rims with a good new set, keeping the old ones as spare tires there are none now. I was figuring a Load B tire, but after that, Im not sure what size I should get. Any recommendations? Thanks.

So the tire size you have now is actually a car tire and not a trailer tire so you will want to replace them with ST rated tires which were specifically designed for trailer applications. You'll also wan to go with a tire that has a weight capacity that covers the weight of the boat and trailer.

For a tire size that will fit your current wheels I recommend the Provider tires part # TTWTRTM1758013C as this tire has more than enough capacity at 1,360 lbs at 50 psi, a speed rating of 81 MPH, has a 2 year warranty, and has an automotive grade tread pattern which means you'll get great traction in wet and dry conditions.

I attached a review video for more info on this tire for you to check out as well.
