Does 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 7-Way Wiring Need to be Complete for Brake Controller
Question:
I get most of the diagram. There are two circuit breakers 20 amp goes to power the unit, so power from battery to black power on unit. Then the blue wire from the voyager goes to the brake controller on 7 pin trailer connector. But there is a wire that goes from power to the 40 amp circuit breaker to the 7 pin connector but does not specify what it does. Is this the 12 volt auxiliary power for the trailer or does it also go to the brake blue wire connection.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The circuit you referenced on the 7-way wiring that has a 40 amp breaker is the 12 volt accessory circuit. This actually has nothing to do with the brake controller install though so if you don't need this circuit you do not have to complete it.
