You can easily install the reliable Prodigy P2 brake controller # 90885 in your 2015 Toyota Tacoma using plug-in wiring adapter # 3040-P that connects it to the port under your dash. You can refer to the linked video at the 20-second mark to see where it plugs in.
If you prefer a wireless brake controller that does not have to mount on the dash, and that can easily be moved to any other vehicle with a 7-way, you might consider the Curt Echo # C51180. If you have a compatible smartphone (Apple 8.0 or newer or Android 4.4 and newer operating systems) you can get the same proportional braking performance of the P2 without having to mount a controller to your dash. Please refer to the linked video on the Echo for more on its simple plug-in installation and how it operates.
