Is It Better To Switch To Higher Load Range Tire
Question:
Would this be a good combo for a 2 horse bumper pull trailer with 205/75/14 or should I go with Load Range D. Not sure what it came with other than size

A higher range tire has a higher weight capacity but it does not change the weight capacity of the trailer. As long as you have tires that are rated for the fully loaded weight of your trailer then you are fine. However, a higher range is able to handle more weight which means it could run cooler and last longer under the weight of the horse trailer. The load range C ST205/75D14 tire you referenced part # AM3S455 is rated for a maximum load of 1,760 lbs at 50 PSI.
I recommend a load range D Westlake ST205/75R14 Radial tire with wheel part # 274-000014 because of its construction and complimentary roadside assistance. All of the load range D tires we carry in size ST205/75D14 are radial tires which is better for highway use because their sidewalls are more flexible to dissipate heat at highway speeds compared to bias tires. This particular load range D tire is rated for a maximum load of 2,040 lbs at 65 PSI. It also comes with flat tire roadside service for 2 years 24/7 anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
