Strait-Line Weight Distribution Recommendation for 350 lb TW Trailer Towed by 2011 Nissan Frontier

Question:

I tow a 2800lb dry weight 3800lb max weight travel trailer with a tongue weight of 350lbs. My tow vehicle is a 2011 Nissan Frontier. Im interested in this product but havent seen any reviews. Do you have any experience with the sway control portion of this product? It seems like it should work but it is clearly different then the standard friction plate set-ups. I want a wd and sway control combo that is appropriate for my set-up so if this isnt it do you have any other suggestions?

There are weight distribution systems that would work very well for you, but the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-1000 that you referenced would be better used with a trailer with more tongue weight than the 350 lbs of your trailer. You should also note that you will want to know the loaded tongue weight of your setup, and that any cargo that is behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle will be considered tongue weight also.

I attached an FAQ on weight distribution hitches for you to check out also.

If your loaded tongue weight is 350 lbs I would recommend you get a Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control # RP66086. This system is setup is rated for the tongue weight you gave me, plus it features a dual-cam sway control that works to prevent sway before it starts. This is one of the best sway control options on the market right now.

We have not had any experience with the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-1000 that you referenced as it is a product that we just recently started carrying. As soon as we get feedback on this product from our customers it will show up on the product page as a product review.
