Troubleshooting Invisibrake Monitor and Breakaway Installation on 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
We have an Invisibrake installed on our 2014 Jeep Unlimited. We towed it with our previous motorhome, but recently purchased a new motorhome. I installed a monitor/alarm in the new motorhome. I installed it using the brake controller attachment instead of the patch cord method. On the towed vehicle, I added the patch cord to the six-wire. Everything seemed okay. We hooked the vehicles together to test the system. The Invisibrake activates the brakes in the towed vehicle, all the lights work properly and the new monitor/alarm illuminates. But the monitor/alarm when I hold the brakes in the motorhome the montior/alarm does not sound. And, when I pulled the breakway switch the Invisibrake did not activate. I believe all connection are good. Please let me know where I should direct my attention.

The motorhome monitor alarm in Monitor/Alarm Kit # RM-98850 will not sound when you press the motorhome brake pedal. If someone presses the toad brake pedal for more than 20-seconds then you should hear the alarm.
As for the breakaway my contact at Roadmaster suggested testing the breakaway wiring. The black wire should have voltage all the time; the white wire should have voltage only when the pin is pulled. If you have power on the black wire but the white wire does not go hot when the pin is pulled the breakaway should be replaced with # RM-650898.
