Question:
vent cover is cracked it is a 14x14 Hengs with the hinge riveted on with 4 rivets on hinge and two on rod holder. Can I buy a 14x14 cover drill out the rivets and bolt it on...OR just contact cement it to the existing cover?

If you would like to bolt a new cover onto the roof vent like part # BV0554-01 you can but it may leak. If you concrete the hinge to your existing cover it could work but may be an issue with the hinge working properly. I have attached a photo of the most standard hinges on roof vent lids. If you send me a photo of your existing lid, it may be easier to compare.
