Trunk Mount Bike Rack for a 2019 Acura RDX Advantage Package

Question:

I have contacted my Acura dealer who does not recommend a hitch bike rack due to all sensors along bumper. They state I would need to relocate a sensor so would need a bumper adapter prior to hitch installation costing up to $1000. Seems to complex so just give me an old fashioned bike rack? What can you recommend for a trunk rack for this vehicle. This SUV also has a spoiler and automatic lift. When I went to a local bike shop, they recommend a hitch fearing that a regular trunk rack may break spoiler or crack window. Hows a girl to take her bike out for a ride with these new fangled high tech vehicles? Help.

The best, which just so happens to also be the only trunk mount bike rack we have for your 2019 Acura RDX at this time is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier part # HRF2. The concern that your local bike shop had is valid for this vehicle in regards to the rear spoiler but the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier will eliminate this concern due to its unique arm design that does not apply any downward pressure on the rear spoiler. I have attached a photo to try and show this for you. The rear window glass strength will not be an issue.

Please note if you have an alternative frame bike you will also need the Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar part # HRBA-PRO.
