Recommended 15 Inch Trailer Tire for Best Clearance Between Tires of Flatbed Trailer

Question:

Will a 205/75/15 fit on a 7.00-15 rim ? I have a dual axle flatbed rated at 7500# total weight. Any advantages between the 225 vs the 205 ? Im trying to keep as much clearance between the tires as possible. Across the bed

Both the 205 and the 225 tires will fit on your wheel rims. The 205/75-15 tires will have a width of 8.1 inches. The 225/75-15 tires will have a width of 8.78 inches. Although these can vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer, the 205 tires will give you about 3/4 of an inch more clearance between your tires.

For your dual axle flatbed rated at 7,500 lbs I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # TR20515D. This tire will be rated more than strong enough for your trailer capacity and has a speed rating of up to 81 mph. My favorite part of these tires is the automotive grade sipes that give you great traction in wet conditions. These tires come with a 2 year limited warranty. The radial tires will run cooler than the bias tires so they will perform better on highway driving.
