Sidewind Jack Recommendations for Supporting Equipment Hauled on a Trailer

Question:

Hello, I need it install 2 jacks on a piece of equipment to keep the weight off the axle when hauling it on a trailer. The jack I am looking for needs to be capable of supporting 2000 pounds, sidewind, swivel or removable, with a bolt on mount. The mounting height is 6inch to 10inch off the ground.I can cut the jacks to needed height. Can you help me? Thanks

It sounds like you are going to have to do a custom installation. I would recommend the Pro Series Square Jack with Footplate, # PS1400800383, along with a male pipe mount, # BD015273, to weld to the jack in the correct position, and a female pipe mount, # BD015271, to weld to your piece of equipment.

This would allow you to custom fit the jack to your equipment. Using a standard jack with mounting plate already welded to it is not going to allow the adjustability you need.

Cutting jacks to height is normally not possible because you would most likely cut the lift rod inside the jack tube.

You may also be able to use the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Jack w/ Pivoting Footplate, # F1413200334, which has a retracted height of 5-3/8 inches when the bracket is at the lowest setting.

If these parts will not work for you let me know what you have and send me a photo so I can see where you are trying to install the jacks and what they are going on.
