Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller with Numerical Display Issues

Question:

The screen on my prodigy brake controller is only showing the top half of the numbers on the bottom of the screen. How do I fix it? This is also without a trailer attached is it supposed to do this or not

The Screen on your Prodigy Brake Controller will be almost identical to the Prodigy P2 # 90885 with the exception of the color. Your controller is showing the correct reading when you have no trailer connected. The n.c. you see is showing correctly.

It sounds like you are only seeing the top of the numerical digits when you have a trailer connected and they are not showing on the top of the screen but rather the bottom. If you don't get the full digit display when connected to a trailer, then the display does have an issue. If the top half of the display isn't functioning, then the controller will need to be replaced as there isn't a fix for that faulty display.
