Will Driveway Ground Clearance Be an Issue with Draw Tite # 75600
Question:
I have a 2009 BMW X5, and I see that the 2 hitches you offer for this vehicle both come below the bumper. Have you heard of any ground clearance issues with the hitch mounted that low. I do have a moderately steep driveway and am concerned the hitch would hit the road when pulling into my driveway. Thank you.

Expert Reply:
Driveway ground clearance wouldn't be bad with the Draw Tite hitch part # 75600 since only the hitch opening hangs below the rear bumper. While the hitch would subtract about 2-1/2 inches from the rear ground clearance it wouldn't really be an issue with a driveway since you turn into a driveway and the portion that would hang the lowest would be the corner of the bumper at any given time.
