Will Over-Under Kit Raise Height of 5th Wheel Trailer with Leaf Springs Above the Axles

Question:

will this kit help to raise up the fifth wheel, even if my springs are already located above the axle? I have a 2019 Ford F250 that sits high from factory20 inch tires. i have a lippert fifth wheel hitch on my 2018 Open Range fifth wheel that is for short bed trucks and is not adjustable. Thanks,

If your leaf springs are already located above your trailer axle then the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 won't change anything as its designed to relocate axles from above the leaf springs to below the leaf springs.

There are a few other ways that you can still add some height to your trailer though. We have the Tandem Axle Lift Kit # RR23QX which will raise your trailer up to 2-1/4", you can change out your hangers (see linked list of products), or you could even use the Lippert Center Point Suspension Upgrade # LC1565391 to get 2" of lift. Another option is to adjust the height of your 5th wheel hitch. You want to be careful doing this though as you do want to maintain 5" - 6" of clearance between your bed rails and trailer (see attached picture).
