Bracket To Mount 7-Way Plug On Class III Trailer Hitch With Concealed Cross Tube
Question:
Hi, Do you have any examples of how to install the Hopkins Connector to the Draw-tite 75600? It looks like the geometry of the Draw-Tite bar positions the connector too high if you use one of the NoDrill Adapters. Even when flipping the NoDRill connectors upside down the hitch geometry is wrong for those pieces. Still too high. I currently have the hidden Class III hitch that BMW recommends and is dealer installed. However, its useless in the real world. Too hard to change fittings and very limited in what you can configure. The standard 2in receiver will transform the assembly and make working with the hitch much easier, but I need a way to mount the wiring connector which is already installed on my current hitch. It mounts directly to the hitch assembly now and will need to be converted to the Draw-Tite system.

Since the Draw-Tite trailer hitch part # 75600 is a concealed cross tube design there is not a bracket that is designed to install on the cross tube that is long enough to clear the bumper on the 2017 BMW X5. The cross tube sits too high up once the Draw-Tite hitch is installed.
I recommend Curt Easy Mount Bracket part # C58000 to mount the 7-way plug. The bracket attaches to the 2" receiver tube instead of the cross tube so it works great with the Draw-Tite concealed cross tube hitch to mount the 7-way.
