Diameter of the Base on the Lippert Components 360 Siphon RV Holding Tank Vent Cap LC389381

Question:

Looking at part #LC389381 to replace a roof vent on my camper. Im not positive my vent is the black water holding tank vent, but it could be. Trying to determine if this is a replacement part for my existing broken vent. See 2 pics attached. Existing vent has 5 or 6 screw holes and yours only has 4. More importantly, what is the diameter of the base of this replacement part? Thanks.

The roof vent on your trailer is most likely for black water tank. The Lippert Components 360 Siphon RV Holding Tank Vent Cap part # LC389381 has a base with a 4" outer diameter. The holes most likely won't line up with your existing roof vent but you can drill new ones, jut make sure to seal everything up with part # 34427034145-1. The Lippert Components 360 Siphon RV Holding Tank Vent Cap is designed for a 1-1/2" or 2" diameter vent stack which is a standard size so as long as this is what you have then you should be good to go.

I am thinking that if it happens to be a bit higher, it would “gather” more of a passing breeze, and therefore work better. Thanks again for your prompt reply.

That's a really good point.

No, I meant that it looks higher overall which is fine with me than it looks in other pictures of the 360 siphon I have seen. Maybe that is because it is the Gen 2 version. Thanks for your prompt reply,

I gotcha! I'm not aware of any dimensional changes with the current version but it could be taller by just a bit. Like you alluded to though, this won't affect its function or fit on your RV/trailer.

This picture of the 360 vent looks like it has a higher rise to it than it appears in other pictures. Pleas advise. Kind Regards,

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Do you mean to say that the Lippert 360 Siphon Vent # LC389381 looks taller than your existing vent? Note that the customer submitted image on the above answer is not the 360 vent, but simply a different model serving the same purpose.
