How to Remove Old Sewage Drain Assembly to Install Valterra Double RV Waste Valves
Question:
How to I get the old sewage drain assembly off of the ABS? Do I cut it and then try to add the new TR38? I would think my pipe would now be an inch or so to short for the TR38 to connect to what ABS pipe is left. I have tried to search for two days online for an answer but havent found anything

Yes, when replacing sewer parts that have been installed with ABS Solvent Cement like part # A05-0303 you will need to cut the pipe right where the old valve is installed so you can install the Valterra Waste Valves # TR38.
If you think this will reduce your sewer pipe by too much then you may need to cut most of the old pipe off and add a new piece that is about the same current length. We don't carry any replacement pipe but you should be able to find some at your local hardware or home improvement store.
