Trailer Hitch for 2012 Nissan Quest to Carry 5-Bike Rack
Question:
I have a 2012 Nissan Quest SL. I read your help page regarding Class ratings where it says that Class 1 can handle a max of 2 bikes. This hitch is Class 2. Can it handle the weight of 5 bikes?

Yes, a Class II hitch like the Curt part # C12061 that you mentioned can carry a 5-bike rack since it's stronger than a Class I hitch. We have the Thule Apex XT 5 Bike Rack part # TH9026XT that would work well with this hitch too as it was designed for fitting a Class II hitch.
The best hitch option for your 2012 Nissan Quest though is the Draw Tite part # 75714 though. This is a 2 inch hitch which means it's significantly stronger by design but also because this rack does not require a stabilizer strap like the Curt hitch does when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack. This also works with the Ridgeback too.
