I was able to track down the online owner's manual for your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and for this vehicle you are looking at a maximum trailer weight of 6,200 pounds if you have the 3.6L engine or 7,200 pounds if you have the 5.7L engine. In either case you will still have a healthy safety margin between the loaded weight of the Nomad 186B Trailer and your Jeep's limits.
I do still recommend verifying this information in your copy of the manual or by checking with a local Jeep dealer.
In order to tow the trailer you will need a trailer hitch, wiring harness, brake controller, and a ball mount/hitch ball combo. I wasn't able to verify the exact contents of the factory tow package of your Jeep so I will just make a recommendation for each of these components in case you don't already have them.
Starting with the trailer hitch I recommend the Curt Class III # C13182 because it offers the highest capacities for your vehicle (6,000 pound towing or 7,500 pounds when used with a weight distribution system), is made right here in the USA, and features a simple bolt-on installation process that will use existing holes in the Jeep's frame without any drilling.
I have included an install video that you can use for reference.
Then for a 7-Way wiring harness the Curt T-Connector # C55774 will work perfectly. This will plug into the factory port behind the bumper to provide you with both a 7-Way and 4-Way connector.
For a brake controller I really like the new Curt Echo # C51180 because of its unique design that allows for a really easy setup. It simply plugs into the 7-Way on your Jeep and pairs to your smart phone via Bluetooth. Since your phone is what you will actually use to adjust any settings or activate he manual override, you won't need to mount any additional components or wiring inside the cab of your Jeep like with most other options.
I have attached a video demonstration on the Echo so you can see exactly how it works.
Finally you will just need a ball mount and hitch ball to actually couple the trailer. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the right one for your setup along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
