Troubleshooting Lights Staying On After Installing Tekonsha ZCI Vehicle Wiring Harness on RAV4
Question:
Tekonsha 119250. All lights stay on 2019 Toyota RAV4 I have installed the kit in my 2019 rav4. Everything works fine for a 30 seconds or so. Once the directionals are used, the brake lights stay on. Then tail lights stay on. If I cut power and wait a minute or two, it resets. Same thing happens again. ??? Any help is appreciated.

The Tekonsha ZCI Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT that you installed on your 2019 Toyota RAV4 can be extremely sensitive with regards to the initial setup. Because it uses zero-contact sensors to identify current flowing through each wire, all the steps need to be followed exactly as written in the install manual.
If the lights are staying on after initially activating them then this could be an indication that the magnetic sensors were simply installed in the wrong direction. Try pulling the fuse on the harness to cut off power and reverse the orientation of the running lights sensors and hopefully this will resolve the issue.
If the problem persists please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
