Roof Rack for Top of Camper Shell Recommendation
Question:
Can the camping trailer sport rack be attached to a truck cap to carry kayaks?

Expert Reply:
We have roof rack setups that are designed for truck cap applications like yours but the SportRack # SR1020 would not be what you'd want as it's attachment method was not intended for the fiberglass roof of a camper shell.
Instead we have the Thule TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack for Camper Shell/Truck Cap # TH29200XT which is designed for your exact situation and would work great. It has a reinforced mounting bracket setup to allow it to be strong enough for use on a camper shell that's made of fiberglass.
