What Tool Can be Used to Cut Plastic Underbody for Trailer Hitch Installation on a 2014 Honda CR-V
Question:
What did you use/recommend to cut the underbody on passenger side for the hitch? Would drilling a pilot hole and using a jigsaw with a metal/wood blade work or if this more of a job for a sawzall? A friend is curious and I offered to help and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks you.

We actually used a box cutter to cut the underbody plastic when we installed the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98868 on a 2014 Honda CR-V. The linked instructions just call for a rotary tool so really anything that you are comfortable using, but I don't really recommend using a jigsaw as the cut would look jagged.
I have attached a photo from the instructions showing where you need to cut the plastic underbody as well as an installation video of us installing this trailer hitch on a 2014 CR-V. You can see us make the cut at about the 2:38 minute mark.
